“Delayed is not Denied”. These webisodes are largely student produced and are solely focused on giving the high school athlete a chance to provide some perspective from their eyes.
From the film crew: “For many kids, athletics are often at the heart of their high school experience. When the pandemic actualized, the “experience” for many student athletes came to an abrupt standstill, leaving them feeling alone, staring at uncertainties for what turned out to be more than an entire year. Partnered with Jgage Productions, “Delayed is Not Denied” is a student-driven documentary in mini-series that tells the story of “typical” student athletes and their teams as they forge on their respective journeys through COVID-19 modified seasons. Their worries, their fears, and their resilience in the face of not knowing if they will play again. These stories are not about winning championships, but rather the road to playing a single game when the stakes perhaps extend well beyond the scoreboard.”
